“May Day catches our imagination today as it always has and Jack in the Green is a celebration of longer days and warmer nights. You can still find a Jack dancing through the streets to welcome May in towns and villages across England accompanied by a myriad of companions - birds and bogeys and creatures of all kinds. Jack in the Green emerges when he is needed through history and is a contemporary folk revival of things joyous - this year Jack has come to Evercreech. We hope you’ll celebrate with us and maybe he will return! .”
